Rising From the Ashes: The Latest Updates on the Fire at the Pantry

In the three months since the fire, we've had more and more people come through the doors at our temporary food pantry at Guide Church. In September alone, we served 1,059 families, including 238 new families! The need for our services continues to grow at an astonishing rate. We've quickly outgrown the space that Guide Church has generously provided for our use. We are so grateful to Guide Church for the gift of their space and their hospitality. It was truly remarkable that they opened their doors to us so quickly after the fire. Thank you, Guide Church!
To better accommodate the growing needs of the community while we await the rebuild at LCC, we will be moving to a new interim home at Hilliard United Methodist Church's Warehouse 839 at 3691 Main Street. (View map).
Our first official service date at Warehouse 839 will be Tuesday, October 31. There will be no disruption to services.
Next time you're in the area, stop by and check out our new temporary home!

Today we will reopen the pantry at a temporary location at Guide Church - North Campus, located at 4770 Britton Parkway in Hilliard. (View map). We are open regular service days and hours. Financial donations, food and personal care items will continue to be collected at each Hilliard firehouse. (View drop off locations at fire stations). We are grateful and amazed at the outpouring of support from our Hilliard community and beyond. Thank you for helping us to continue to serve the families who need us most. |

We will be having a pop-up pantry in the front eastside parking lot of Life Community Church (located at 4400 Cemetery Road in the same building as the pantry) for the next week during regular service hours:
Beginning Thursday, July 20, we will open the pantry from 5 pm - 8 pm at a new temporary location at Guide Church (4770 Britton Parkway). We will then be open during regular service days and hours. Financial donations, food and personal care items are being collected at each Hilliard firehouse. Thank you for all of your support! |

On Sunday, July 9, the warehouse adjoining the pantry had a fire. No one was hurt. This fire destroyed the warehouse (where we store things) and caused water and smoke damage in the pantry. All food is damaged and cannot be distributed. Consequently, we are a pantry without food.
We purchase food from Mid-Ohio Food Collective at a reduced cost. Dollars always stretch further--but all food and personal care donations are welcome and needed. Lastly, we are certain we will have costs associated with the fire. Any help you can give is much appreciated.
