Volunteer Updates As of 3/22/20
We will continue to serve those in need of food as an essential service. Our switch to a drive thru model has been very successful. We realize that those who are helping now may become affected by the virus in the future and new volunteers will be required.
We are doing everything we can to lessen the risk of transmission. Cleaning efforts are more frequent, especially in high traffic areas throughout the building. Additionally, we are focused on frequent wipe-downs on door handles railings, table tops, etc. Officials with the CDC continue to emphasize that handwashing is still the most effective means to mitigate community spread. When volunteering, please wash your hands frequently and use the hand sanitizer. The Food pantry will also have gloves and masks available for volunteers to use, especially when handling food and grocery products.
We have updated our guidelines to require that all volunteers be over the age of 14 years old at this time.
Please check here often for updated information on donations and volunteer opportunities.
We also encourage financial contributions as we can leverage our buying power through the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and our retail partners.
When you volunteer at The Hilliard Food Pantry, you'll help local Hilliard families in need.
At this time, we are NOT accepting volunteers under the age of 14. This is a temporary change.
Volunteers are needed to sort, inspect and pack donated canned & boxed food as well as non perishables in the Pantry's facility. In addition, there are a variety of one time volunteer opportunities - to learn more about which opportunity is available, please click on the VolunteerHub Sign Up icon below.
